Malerie + Hadden | A Wedding at Sparrow Lane

July 3, 2020

Where do I start? I’ve known Hadden and his family since he was just a baby, and then I had the privilege of doing his Senior photos a couple of years ago. I met Malerie in 2016 while shooting her sister’s wedding and just loved her whole family. Individually these two are both wonderful people—fun, outgoing, kind, and they both have a heart for God. The day that I heard (or saw on Facebook) that they were in a relationship. I was like, “Of course, they are literally perfect for each other!” I just felt in my heart that they were meant for each other, and I am confident that as a team they are going to do great things!

It’s been a huge honor for me to be able to capture their journey through photography over the last year. From their dating days at the fair and his surprise proposal last winter, to this year’s engagement session and wedding! Now, these two are seasoned pros (and complete naturals) in front of the camera!

Their midday wedding was bright, sunny, and beautiful with stormy clouds rolling in towards the evening. Both the ceremony and reception were held at the newly opened Sparrow Lane venue. The details of her day were made up of simple greens, ivory, dusty rose and blue. Her grandma made the partially “naked cake”, and the dessert table was filled with delicious donuts and cookies. There were a lot of laughs, smiles, hugs, and maybe a few tears. ;)

Thank you both for allowing me to be there for so much of your journey, including your beautiful wedding day! I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you both and pray that God gives you many, many years together!
